Nealis, John M. (1868? - 11 JUN 1932)

Funeral services for John Martin Nealis, 63, were held at 8 a.m. on Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Father H.P. Toeller officiating. Burial took place at the old home at Hastings, Minn., after the funeral party arrived there that afternoon. Mr. Nealis died at about 7 o’clock Saturday evening. Death came suddenly follow a heart attack.

Early last fall, Mr. Nealis and family left Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) to go to Marshfield, where he had employment with the railroad company, and prior to his moving had been a resident of Owen for the past three years, being engaged here as section foreman.

He leaves his widow, Lillian May Nealis, six children, Martin, John and Frank, Chicago, and Eller, 12, Matthew 10, and Margaret 7, at home, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Haley of Hoquiam, Wash.

He was a member of the Maintenance Way association, a railroad society.
