Nemitz, Mr./Mrs. Henry (Golden - 25 Sept. 1938)

September 25, 1938, marked the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nemitz of this city, and the occasion was celebrated at their home on the north side, surrounded by their daughters and families.

Mr. and Mrs. Nemitz were married in Germany September 25, 1888, and came to America September 1, 1892, settling just west of Neillsville on the property which is now owned by August Milbreit. After living there for a couple of years, they moved to the town of Weston, where they farmed until 1920. Returning to Neillsville, Mr. Nemitz has worked at the carpenter trade and is still able to do odd jobs aside from the work around his own home.

Five children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Nemitz, two of whom are living: (Minnie) Mrs. Robert Bardeleben of Pine Valley, and (Anna) Mrs. Herman G. Riedel of Granton, and 11 grandchildren, the daughters arranging the afternoon and evening gathering and also preparing a fine evening meal.

Mr. and Mrs. Nemitz have the best wishes of their neighbors, friends and relatives on the occasion of their golden wedding.
