Middleton, Charlotte (? - 24 Sept. 1938)

Word was received Saturday, September 24, 1938, by Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Paulus of this city that Mrs. Charlotte Farning Middleton had passed away at her home in Chicago at 1:40 p.m. that day.

While enroute to visit her relatives in New Mexico last February she was taken suddenly ill and after a week of hospitalization at El Paso, Texas, returned to her home by train. A series of complications, resulting in hemorrhagic nephritis and paralysis of the ileus were the immediate causes of her demise.

Services, conducted by the Rev. Doctor Bowman of the First Presbyterian church, were held at Oakwoods Chapel Monday afternoon.

Mrs. James Paulus and Jean Farning and Mrs. Louis Kurth were present for the rites, also Miss Gertrude Farming of Flossmoor, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hoey and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Woodward of Chicago.
