Harold Jacob, age 72, of Marshfield, died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Harold Charles Jacob was born September 12, 1933, the son of Alvin and Leona (Ripke) Jacob in Neillsville, Wis. He attended and graduated from Neillsville High School. He then joined the Army and was stationed in Germany for several years. After he was discharged he worked on his parents’ farm in Neillsville, Wis. He married Gloria Vandenberg in 1961. They moved to Marshfield and Harold worked for Weyerhauser for many years. After his retirement he continued to live in Marshfield until the time of his death.

Harold is survived by a sister, Karlyn (Richard) Witt, of Rudolph, WI; and several cousins.

Preceding Harold in death were his wife; and a stepdaughter, Pamela Sue.

Funeral services for Harold were held Tuesday, June 13, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Serving as Casket bearers were: Bob Bell, Bert Schultz, Alvin Spaete, Bob Schultz, Wilbur Henchen and Donald Meihak.

The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville is assisting Harold’s family.
