Panke, Martha (21 JAN 1917)

Sunday evening at 6 o’clock, Jan. 21, 1917, at 949 Euclid St., St. Paul, Minn., occurred the marriage of Miss Martha Panke of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Fred Bailey of St. Paul. The Rev. Bailey of the First Baptist Church performed the ceremony. The wedding march was played by Miss Erma Schnider.

The bride was attended by Miss Edith Bailey, sister of the groom, and Miss Mary Weiss of Park Falls, Wis.

The groom was attended by Leslie Menier and Lynn Hostrouser, both of St. Paul.

The bride wore a gown of white silk and silver lace, her cap and veil were of white tulle and carried a shower bouquet of white roses, lilies of the valley and smilax. The groom wore a suit of dark blue serge. The maid of honor was gowned in green taffeta and carried pink and white carnations. The bridesmaid wore a gown of blue taffeta and also carried pink and white carnations.

The presents received by the newly married couple were numerous and handsome, as well as valuable.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Panke of this city, and is capable of filling the home she will adorn with happiness and will prove to be a true helpmate and companion to the husband she has chosen.

The groom, formerly of Eau Claire, Wis., is an employee of the Western Express Co. at St. Paul, where he holds a highly responsible position.

They will make their future home at 949 Euclid St., in St. Paul.
