Pinney, Ethel (18 JAN 1917)

The marriage of Miss Ethel Pinney of this place to Mr. William C. Fowler, Jr., of Lansing, was solemnized last Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Strick. The wedding was of a quiet nature and there were no invited guests. Dr. L.S. Brooke of Howell performed the ceremony.

Miss Pinney is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Pinney of Brighton. She is one of Brighton’s most popular young ladies and a talented musician. She is a graduate of the University School of Music and drawing at Ann Arbor, having specialized in voice, and has taught music in the public schools of Jonesville with great success. Mr. Fowler, the man of her choice, is an instructor in the Industrial School for boys at Lansing. They will be at home in the capital city after Feb. 14. The Argus joins in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Fowler all the blessings of a long and happy wedded life. (Brighton, Mich. Argus)

Miss Pinney moved from Colby with her parents about five years ago. She is a graduate of the Colby, Clark Co., Wis. High School and her many friends and old schoolmates here all join with the Phonograph in congratulations and best wishes.
