Vanderhoof, Barbara (1 SEP 1861 - 12 AUG 1934)

Mrs. Barbara Vanderhoof, 72, died at her home seven miles east of here at 9:30 o’clock Sunday night of pneumonia, which climaxed a six months illness.

Funeral services were conducted at the home at 1:15 p. m. Wednesday and at the Spencer Methodist Episcopal church at 2 p. m. on Wednesday, the Rev. John Brown officiating. Burial was made in the Spencer cemetery.

Mrs. Vanderhoof was born at Mayville, Dodge county, on September 1, 1861. Her husband, Charles Vanderhoof died four years ago.

Surviving relatives include three sons, Albert, Jay and Benjamin, town of Sherman; two daughters, Mrs. M. Rue, Sherman, and Mrs. Archie Smith, Loyal; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Hubbard, Harlowton. Mont., and Mrs. Mert Hayward, Park Falls, and a brother, Jud Upson, Phillips.

Mrs. Vanderhoof was an active worker in the Spencer Women’s Relief Corps since its organization.
