Herman Hediger of Christie had the pleasure of conversing with his sister, Mrs. Fannie Hediger of Lusanne, Switzerland, over the telephone, Dec. 26.

In order to give his wife and daughter, Hanna, the same privilege, Mr. Hediger, who has telephones in his residence and cheese factory, had the local telephone company install a third one in the upper story of his home.

The call was placed with Miss Dorothy Rouse at 5 o’clock p.m. Christmas Day, passing through Marshfield, Stevens Point and Chicago before reaching, New York, the overseas connection being made through London Eng.- -- * * * * *Rest Cut off. * * * * * *
