Christianson, William B. (April 18, 1900 - September 14, 1965)

William B Christianson, age 65, Baraboo, passed away Tuesday evening, September 14, 1965, in the Madison Veterans Administration Hospital following a long illness.

He was a resident of Baraboo for the past 37 years and had been employed by the Northwestern Refrigerator Car Shops until ill health forced his retirement. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. He was born April 18, 1900, in Wisconsin. He was married to Dorothea (Dorothy "Doris") Schutte, September 9, 1920, in Neillsville, Wis.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Raymond, Baraboo; Frank, Madison; Arthur, Racine; two daughters, Mrs. Phyilip (Evelyn) Zimmerly, Milwaukee; Mrs. Russell (Lillian) Gates, Baraboo; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Andrews, Gilman; Mrs. Jennie Smith, Flora, IL; and one brother, George Christianson, Cambridge, MN; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, William George in 1957, and one daughter, Florence in infancy.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Scheible Funeral Home where friends may call Thursday evening from 7 to 9. Burial will be made in the Rock Springs Cemetery with Military rites at the grave.
