Olson, Barbara Ann (Marriage - 4 Sept. 1937)

Miss Barbara Ann Olson of South Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Olson of Neillsville, was married to David John Daniel, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Daniel of Cambria, in an 11 o’clock ceremony performed by Rev. Stone at the Olson home in this city Sept. 4. The home was prettily decorated with peach and white gladioli for the occasion.

The bride who wore peach lace dress and carried a bouquet of gladioli and orchid heather, was attended by Edythe Daniel, sister of the groom, who wore blue taffeta and net and carried blue and white delphiniums. A niece of the bride, Mary Ellen Holt, was flower girl, and the best man was Kenneth Olson, brother of the bride. After the wedding there was a dinner served to 30 at the home of the parents of the bride.

Both of the couple are prominent locally, the bride having worked in Racine Public Library and in a South Milwaukee library for several years. She attended Stevens Point Teachers College and the University of Wisconsin. The groom, who is engaged in farming, attended the Universities of Wisconsin and Ohio. Olwen Daniel, sister of the groom, sang at the ceremony. The couple will reside at Cambria after Oct. 1, when they return from a trip into northern States.

Those who attended the wedding are: William Daniel and family of Cambria, Harvey Davis family and Linnian Daniel of Crawfordsville, Iowa; Maude Hook of South Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Olson and daughter of Rice Lake, and Ewald Schwarze’s of Greenwood.
