Hahm, Margaret Gertrude (Marriage - 2 May 1937)

In a church setting of beautiful flowers, Miss Margaret Gertrude Hahm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Hahm, town of Lynn, became the bride of Harry Bernard Koppen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Koppen, Pittsville, May 2 at 4 p.m. in the Zion Evangelical Church of Granton. One hundred and twenty-five guests witnessed the impressive double ring ceremony performed by Rec. Carl Hoeh of Sigel, to the soft accompaniment of Lohengren’s Bridal Chorus played by Raymond Rosenthal. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, looked beautiful in a satin floor length gown with long sleeves and puffs to elbows, a long tull veil; cap shape, with seed pearls and orange blossoms.

Miss Hahm was attended by her sister, Mrs. Carl Gildemeister, Racine, as matron of honor, and Mrs. Aloys Kleifken, Lucille Schlinsog, Marella Holnbach and Ealine Short. The groom’s attendants were Carl Gildemeister, Aloys Kleifken, Gerhard Burge, LaVere Stenerson and Gilbert Sweet. The matron of honor was prettily dressed in a floor length gown of pink lace with white accessories. Mrs. Kleifken wore peach, Lucille Schlinsog, yellow, Marella Holnbach, blue and Elaine Short green. All wore silver sandals and wrist bouquets and a white flower in their hair.

Following the ceremony a dinner was served at 5:30 p.m. to 125 guests at the home of the bride. A large wedding cake, baked by Mrs. Arthur Short, adorned the center of the table.

The bride, who graduated from Granton High School in the class of 1936, is a young woman of the attainments and highly respected by all who know her. The groom is assistant foreman at the Roy Potter cranberry marsh near Port Edwards and is known as a young man of excellent character and industry.

Following a list of the guests from out of town:
