Klueckmann, Barbara Ann (Marriage – 17 May 1975)

Miss Barbara Ann Klueckmann became the bride of Thomas D. Opelt Saturday, May 17, in a 1:30 p.m. ceremony performed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Joseph Henseler. A reception at the American Legion Hall was followed in the evening by a dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Forest Klueckmann of Fall Creek and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Opelt of Rt. 3 Neillsville.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in an entrained gown of silk organza detailed with French Chantilly lace and accented with crystal pleating on the bodice and hemline. Her head was covered by an elbow length veil of silk illusion. She carried a nosegay of mums, daisies, pink roses and baby’s breath.

Miss Dorothy Kuehn, Eau Claire, was maid of honor and Mrs. Richard Putz, Strum, and Miss Rosemary Opelt were bridesmaids. They wore gowns of blue and lavender floral print over blue taffeta featuring butterfly ruffle neckline trim. Their flowers were basket arrangements of lavender daisies, mums, roses and baby’s breath.

Serving as bestman was James Langreck, Vernon Klueckmann, Fall Creek, and Steven Buchholz acted as groomsmen. Sharing ushering duties were Rick Ziegler, Kim Ziegler, Dennis Opelt and Wayne Opelt.

Lisa Klueckmann and Jodi Eisentraut were flower girls.

Music at the wedding was by Mrs. Gene Ross and Mrs. Glenn Short.

The new Mrs. Opelt is a 1972 graduate of Fall Creek High School, is employed as a clerical worker in the office of a local filter corporation. Her husband is employed in the city as a machinist. He is a 1972 Neillsville High School graduate.

.The couple will live in Neillsville.
