Hale, Elwood "Butch" D. (January 26, 1944 - October 24, 2005)

Elwood "Butch" D Hale, age 61, of Pittsville, died Monday, October 24, 2005, at St. Josephs Hospital in Marshfield.

He was born on January 26, 1944 in Black River Falls to Allie and Beatrice (Ellenberger) Hale. He married Vickie Kuhn in Black River Falls, on March 23, 1996. He previously had been married to Judy Rice, and to Priscilla Emerson. Butch worked as a truck driver most of his life, until he had to retire in 2004, due to illness.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie, of Pittsville; daughters, Denise (Randy) Becker of Mauston; Terry Polzin of Oklahoma; Tammy Mohr of Mauston; sons, Tim (Sally) Waterman of Taylor; Kevin (Barb) of Neillsville; Brian of Terre haute, IN; Scott (Sherri) of Neillsville; Roger (Bev Johnson) of Taylor; and Christopher of Pittsville; brothers, Beryl of Melrose; and Archie of Merrillan; sisters, Barb (Dennis) Ball of Black River Falls; and Judy Bush of North Carolina; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Allie and Beatrice; and by several siblings.

A Memorial service was held on Saturday, October 29, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield, Rev. Robert Brandt officiating. The Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, served the family.
