Stegner, Betty (Marriage - 24? Sept. 1936)

Miss Betty Stegner, Chicago, daughter of Mrs. Barbara Stegner of Neillsville, was married to Cecil Reams, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Reams, Neillsville, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic church on Thursday, Rev. Father Zaum saying high mass.

Miss Rose Anderson, Chicago, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Eva Reams, sister of the bridegroom, maid with Merle Reams, brother of the bridegroom acting as best man and Arnold Gall an attendant. Winnie Fitzsimmons, niece of the bride, was flower girl. The wedding march was played by Mrs. A. C. Wagner.

The bride was gowned in a pretty costume of long lace with veil and carried pink roses with baby breath. Miss Anderson wore a pale pink gown with wrist bouquet to match and Miss Reams was attired in pale orchid taffeta with wrist bouquet to match. Winnie Fitzsimmons was dressed in white and carried a basket of roses. The bridegroom and his attendants wore dark blue suits.

A wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reams.

The bridegroom, who is engaged in trucking, is an industrious young man of likeable personality who has a host of warm friends in this community. The bride is highly spoken by all who know her as a young lady of rare charm and splendid character. For the present they will make their home with the bridegroom’s parents.
