Kippenhan, Louise M. (21 DEC 1890 – 14 JAN 1975)

Miss Louise M. Kippenhan, 84, Appleton, passed away at noon on Tuesday, January 14, 1975, following a lingering illness.

She was born December 21, 1890 in Greenwood, Clark Co., Wisconsin. Miss Kippenhan was a member of First Congregational, United Church of Christ. Prior to moving to Appleton, she was a graduate of Boston University School of Religious Education. She did Social Service work in Chicago, was a parish worker for a period of time in Kansas City. During the period of Released Time in Appleton Public School, she was the Director of Religious Education. Following that, she was again a parish worked and Director of Religious Education at the Winnebago Indian Mission in Black River Falls, Wisconsin.

Survivors include four brothers, August, John, Arthur and Roland, all of Appleton; four sisters, Miss Hilda and Miss Cilla, both of Appleton; Mrs. Herbert (Emma) Wickesberg, Appleton; Mrs. Elmer (Lydia) Wolf, Pueblo, Colorado.

Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at the Valley Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday, with Rev. John Felible officiating. Burial took place in Highland Memorial Park.

Mr. Karl Franz of Marshfield, Mrs. Clara Gray, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Elmer, Fritz Franz, Mrs. Alvin Albert, Mrs. Mike Bolf, all of Greenwood, Mrs. Martha Schwarze and Mrs. Minnie Laube of Owen, attended the funeral of their cousin in Appleton on Friday.
