Gelhaus, Maggie (18 APR 1883 - 15 DEC 1912)

Mrs. Arthur J. Gelhaus died at her home in the town of Mayville, Clark Co., Wis., on Sunday morning, Dec. 15th, 1912, of puerperal septicemia, aged 29 years, 7 months and 27 days.

Maggie Beyerl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Beyerl, in the town of Colby, April 18th, 1883, and resided at home until Dec. 27th, 1905, when she was united in marriage to Arthur J. Gelhaus at St. Mary’s Church in this city, by Rev. Wm. Reding, since which time she resided on the farm where she died. A child was born to her Nov. 7th, 1907, but passed away the same day. A second child, a son, was born Dec. 4th, 1912, and with the husband, survives her. Besides her husband and infant son, she leaves father, mother, one brother and one sister to mourn her death.

The funeral was held at Dorchester, Wednesday, Dec. 18th, Rev. E. Moechler officiating, and was largely attended by relatives and sympathizing friends. Interment took place in Dorchester Cemetery.

The following out of town relatives were in attendance: Mr. and Mrs. F. Wocelka of Medford; Miss Martha Schuette of Chicago.
