Markham, Bessie (3 MAY 1911)

Michael M. Philippi of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Bessie Markham of Augusta, were quietly married at St. Mary’s Church in Altoona, at 7 o’clock Wednesday morning, May 3rd, 1911, by Rev. Toeller. They immediately took the train for Chippewa Falls, where they connected with the Soo Line train and arrived here in the afternoon. They will make their home in Marshfield, where Mike owns a fine residence on South Maple St., and has the same completely furnished for housekeeping.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.G. Markham of Augusta, and has been a bright star in social circles in her home town.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Philippi of this city, and one of our best young men, a graduate of the Colby, Wis. High School, and at present a railway clerk on the Northwester road.

It is a pleasure to chronicle the marriage of such worthy young people and the Phonograph wafts to them its warmest congratulations.
