Massie,Raymond Mark (12 Feb. 1910 - 8 Feb. 2006)

Raymond Mark Massie, 95, of Adams died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship. The Rev. Dwight Condon will officiate. Cremation will follow with final interment in White Creek Cemetery. Military rites will be offered by Adams Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6279, Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post No. 250 and Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post No. 273.

Ray was born Feb. 12, 1910, in Channel Rocks, Mo., to the late Pearl Blanch Massie. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theater.

He married Lilly Viola Schultz on Sept. 30, 1941, in Neillsville, Wis. They lived in Chicago, where he worked as a truck driver and later as a maintenance worker at a high school. He retired in 1975 and moved to White Creek shortly thereafter.

Survivors include his wife, Lilly of Adams; one son, Raymond (Yvonne) of Mount Prospect, Ill.; one daughter, Carol Primm of El Dorado, Ark.; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
