Stapel, Florence A. (29 March 1916 - 11 Feb. 2006)

Florence A. Stapel, 89, Nichols, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, February 11, 2006, at a Green Bay hospital with her family at her side. The daughter of the late Adolf and Clara (Lindekugel) Luther was born March 29, 1916, in Clark County. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1935 and Teachers County Normal in Neillsville, Wis. in 1934.

She is survived by her husband Melvin Stapel, Nichols, 1 daughter Shirley Alexander, Green Bay; two grandchildren: Toni (David) Norton, De Pere; Vicki Fergusson, Green Bay; six stepchildren: Ralph (Betty) Stapel, Mark Stapel, Calvin (Janet) Stapel, Shirley (Pat) Kenney, Sharon Sigl, Ronald (Paula) Stapel, ten step grandchildren, one step great-granddaughter, and one sister, Jennette (Ray) Miller, Unity; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Maynard Pingel, sisters, Verna (August) Quandt and Adaline (Robert) Gropp.

Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, N9580 City Rd. X in Cicero, Wednesday, February 15, 2006, after 9:00 a.m. until the time service. The funeral service will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home Seymour is assisting the family.
