Schuette, August (2 DEC 1857 - 12 DEC 1935)

August Schuette of the Town of Beaver, died December 12th at 3:30 o’clock and was buried on Sunday, December 14th in the St. Luke’s Cemetery at the South Green Grove Church, Rev. Geo. Heilmann of Greenwood officiating.

Mr. Schuette was born in the Town of Kusuth, Manitowoc County on December 2, 1857. In 1883 he was united in marriage to Amelia Rabenhorst, of which union was born one son, Albert. In 1885 Mr. Schuette moved to Kewaunee County and in the meantime his wife passed away. In 1886 he was united in marriage to Margaret Rabenhorst and to this union were born four sons and two daughters, namely: Art, Walter, Lester, all of the Town of Beaver; Geo. Of Genoa City; Ida, Mrs. Fred Kluenker of Manitowoc County; Olivia, Mrs. Arnold Witt of Gillman. In 1909 Mr. Schuette moved to Clark County, Town of Beaver with his family and bought a farm of 280 acres, In 1911 he bought another 160 acres. In 1923 he turned all his property over to his children and lived a peaceful life on the home farm with his son, Walter. On October 28 he took sick of leakage of the heart and on December 12th he passed away in Eternal life.

His funeral was one of the largest held at the South Green Grove Church.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, several children, four brothers and one sister, namely: Otto, Wm., Herman of Manitowoc, Henry of Beaver; Mrs. Wm. Fehring of Manitowoc and 17 grandchildren.

Pall bearers were Albert, Art, Geo. Walter, Lester, all five sons and son-in-law, Fred Kluenker. Flower girls were Ellen, Grace and Caroline Hardrath, Sylvia Schuette and Linda, Alice and Esther Karnopp. During the services Mrs. Rev. Heilman accompanied the organ.

Those from away who attended the funeral of Mr. Schuette were: Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Schuette of Genoa City; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kluenker, Mrs. Wm. Fehring, Otto Schuette, Bob. Rabenhorst, Mrs. F. Rabenhorst, Mrs., Alvina Rabenhorst and son Lester, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Fehring, Mrs. Abendshine, Mrs. Richard Oestreich, Mr. Lewis and Chas. Rabenhorst, Miss Martha Rabenhorst and Carl Hardrath, all of Manitowoc County.

Mrs. Fred Karnopp, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Karnopp, Mrs. Richard Raasch, Mr. and Mrs. H. Ihlenfeldt, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gritzmacher, Mr. and Mrs. Otmer Gritzmacher and Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Borchard all of Kewaunee County; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pilgram and Mr. H. Dahlke of Boyd, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Witt of Gilman; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kuehl, Mr. and Mrs., Ben Seefeld, Mr. and Mrs. Seehafer, all of Marshfield.
