Jankoski, James (13 SEP 1913 - 13 APR 1934)

THORP, Clark Co., Wis. - Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church, Stanley, for James Thomas Jankoski, 19, who died Friday, April 13, 1934, at the Victory Hospital, Stanley. Death was the result of a ruptured appendix.

The Rev. O. O’Connor officiated at the services, and burial was made in the Catholic Cemetery at Stanley.

James Jankoski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Jankoski, was born on Sept. 12, 1915, at Stanley. His mother preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 1918. After her death, Mr. Jankoski and three sons made their home with the children’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. I.G. Jankowski, Stanley, until three years ago, when they moved to Sheldon, which has been their home since.

He is survived by his father, two brothers, Joe and Victor, Jr., his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. I.G. Jankoski, Stanley, and his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Horonstax. The following out of town friends and relatives attended the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. George Jankowski, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Jankoski, Mr. and Mrs. John Jankoski, West Allis; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Knapp and children, Milwaukee; Miss Catherine Jankoski and Francis Bergerson, Chippewa Falls; Frank Jerkicki, Mrs. S. Stathowski, Mr. and Mrs. John Ragowski and K. Podiasek, Sheldon.
