Knebel, John (2 MAR 1884 - 8 SEP 1933)

COLBY, Clark Co., Wis. - John Knebel, 49, a resident of Colby nearly all his life, is dead at his home here as the result of heart trouble, which had confined him to his bed for several months.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 11 in the Methodist Episcopal Church, and burial will be made in the Colby Cemetery.

Mr. Knebel was born here March 2, 1884, and was married to Miss Antoinette Volpalenski on June 14, 1909. He conducted a meat market at Thorp, Clark Co. for a short time, but otherwise made his home in Colby ever since his birth.

He is survived by his widow and three daughters, Miss Lillian Knebel, Eau Claire, and Mary and Marcella at home, a brother, George Knebel, Owen, and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Olson and Mrs. Charles Bassett, St. Paul.
