Gromacki, Anne D. (12 OCT 1935)

A very pretty wedding occurred at the St. Thomas, the Apostle Church in Chicago, when Miss Anne Dorothy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gromacki of Gilman, Wis., became the bride of Stanley Leonard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Fijalkiewicz of Stanley, on Saturday morning, Oct. 12th, 1935, at eleven o’clock, with Rev. Ed L. Flannery officiating.

The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white satin and lace with a long train and wore a cap style veil with a pearl crown and carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley.

The couple was attended by Estelle Fijalkiewicz, sister of the groom, as bridesmaid, and Walter Markowski as best man. Julia Carsley, sister of the groom, acted as matron of honor and wore a peach satin gown with accessories to match and carried tea roses.

Others attending were: Sophie Gromacki, sister of the bride, and George Fijalkiewicz, nephew of the groom; Gina Fijalkiewicz, niece of the groom and Joe Markowski; Mary Bojarski and Bennie Lenieski. The bridesmaids wore taffeta gowns in rainbow colors, blue, pink, green and orchid, and maleen hats trimmed with taffeta to match and carried large bouquets of tea roses. Dorothy Prussman, niece of the groom, acted as flower girl and wore a dress of pink georgette and carried a basket of roses and carnations.

The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos.

After the ceremony a reception was given at a hall. The dinning room was beautifully decorated in white and blue tables were set for (the rest of my copy was cut off)
