At a 9 o’clock ceremony performed Thursday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., Miss Lucille Margaret Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schmidt, Thorp, became the bride of Joseph Edmund Gruber, so of Mr. and Mrs. Antony Gruber, Stanley. The nuptial rites were said by Rev. A.M. Muckerheide.

Miss Josephine and John Schmidt were the couple’s only attendants.

A formal gown of blue satin was worn by the bride who carried a wedding bouquet. Miss Josephine Schmidt wore a gown of pale blue organdy and also carried flowers.

About 50 persons were guests at the home of the bride’s parents, where dinner was served after friends and relatives greeted the bridal party. A color scheme of blue and white was used to decorate the residence.

Out of town guests for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Sam J. Valentine, Joseph Florito, Sam DeNucci, all of St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. George Plummer, Owen; and Paul Schmidt, Jr., Westboro.

After Oct 28, Mr. and Mrs. Gruber will be at home at 1917 Feronia Av., St. Paul, Minn. The groom is employed as a machine operator and night foreman in St. Paul.
