Geiger, Clarence (30 Dec. 1913 - 1 Feb. 1986)

Dorchester - Services for Clarence E. Geiger, 72, route 2, Dorchester, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester, Wis. He was pronounced dead on arrival at 3:38 a.m. Saturday at the Colby Clinic of an apparent heart attack.

The Rev. James Schaefer will officiate. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today at Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester, Wis. A parish rosary will be held at 8 p.m., followed by a Catholic Order of Foresters service at 8:30. Mr. Geiger was born Dec. 30, 1913 in Dorchester, the son of Joseph and Monica (Wittman) Geiger.

He married Lucy Keller May 18, 1937 in Dorchester, Wis. She survives.

He farmed in the Town of Mayville and also worked for that township for 36 years. He moved to Dorchester in 1971, where he had served two terms on the Village Board.

He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Surviving, besides his wife; are two sons, Dale and Richard, both of Dorchester, one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Janice) Schmelzer, Burlington, four brothers, Arthur, Irving, and Sylvester, all of Dorchester, and Bernard, Colby; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Isabel) Kauer and Mrs. Lawrence (Adeline) Heindl, both of Dorchester, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents and one son, Donald.
