Schuld, Simon (25 MAR 1856 - 24 OCT 1935)

Simon Schuld was born at Jefferson, Wis., March 25, 1856 and passed away at his home in Loyal Oct. 24, 1935 at 6:30 A.M., aged 79 years, 6 months and 29 days. Death released him from many weeks of suffering from a gangrene infection.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father A. J. Aurit at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Saturday, 9:00 A. M. Oct. 26th, and he was laid to rest in the Loyal Catholic cemetery by the side of his wife who preceded him in death by only three months.

Mr. Schuld was married to Theresia Koch on Thanksgiving day 1880 and came immediately after their marriage to Loyal and for many years they made their home in the town of York. They left their farm home when age and ill health made the work too difficult for them and for about 10 years lived in their home on the east side of town.

Mr. Schuld was a man who enjoyed life and with many kind deeds and acts of thoughtfulness helped others to enjoy it. During the many weeks of his recent illness he was a patient sufferer always considering those who had the care of him. From boyhood he had been a faithful member of the Catholic Church.

He leaves to mourn his passing; five daughters, Mrs. Martha Hagen, Milwaukee; Mrs. Rosa Gall, Mrs. Tillie Bauer, Mrs. Lenora Domine and Mrs. Angeline Frei, all of Loyal; and one son Mr. Leander Schuld of Loyal; 40 grandchildren, and over 30 great grand children.

The pall bearers were Mr. Frank Wendel, Mr. Paul Bauer, Mr. Edwin Bauer, Mr. Albert Froeba, Mr. Nick Beaver, and Mr. Mike Beaver.

Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hagen, Mrs. Leo Hagen, and Miss Loraine Hagen, all of Milwaukee.
