Wicker, Jack (14 SEP 1906 - 29 SEP 1908)

Jack Wicker, only child of Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Wicker, died at the home of his grandma, Mrs. John Henry, in New Richmond, Wis., where the family was visiting, at four o’clock Tuesday morning, Sept. 29th, 1908, of dysentery, aged two years and fifteen days, having been born in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), on Sept. 14th, 1906.

The sad news of little Jack’s death came over the wire Tuesday as a shock barbed with pain and sorrow, and every heart was touched with sympathy for the stricken ones, from whose fireside the light had fled, for his sweet, childish presence brought a wealth of sunshine and happiness into their lives, and in fact, into the lives of all who knew little Jack.

The funeral will be held from St. Mary’s Church, Friday morning, at 9 o’clock, conducted by Rev. J.M. Schramm. Interment in the family lot in Colby Cemetery.
