Mueller, Albert (? - 11 SEP 1908)

Albert Mueller, one of the leading young farmers of the town of Wein, Marathon Co., Wis., died at St. Mary’s Hospital from blood poisoning. The infection came from a scratch received on the sharp edge of an iron wagon tire three weeks ago. While driving down a hill, the holdback strap of the harness broke and he grabbed hold of the wheel in an effort to stop the vehicle from running against the animal, and the sharp tire worked a tiny cut into the flesh of one finger. He paid but little attention to it until the first of last week, when the finger commenced to swell and pain him. He consulted a doctor at Edgar, bt getting no relief he went to the hospital in Wausau on Thursday, where the doctors told him there was no hope for his recovery. Friday morning his family was sent for but he died before they reached the city.

He leaves a wife and six children, a brother, sisters and other relatives to mourn his death.

The funeral was held from St. Johannes Church in Wein, conducted by Rev. Schmalz, Monday afternoon.
