Death of Mrs. Francis Doughty. Mrs. Francis Doughty, who made her home with her son Orliff Doughty on the west side, died on Sunday after a lingering illness, she having been an Invalid for six years past.

Deceased who was eighty years of age, was born at Liberty Falls, New York, and has been a resident of Wisconsin during the past thirty years, She is survived by five, children, Orliff Doughty and Mrs. Jane Meddaugh of this city, Oscar Doughty of Milwaukee, Curtis 'Doughty of Curry, New York, and Jerry Doughty of Rudolph.

The funeral services were held Tuesday morning from the home of Orliff Doughty, Rev. H, C. Logan of Methodist church officiating.

TOMSYCK PAID $35.00 FINE THIRD SALOON KEEPER FINED FOR SELLING LIQUOR TO MINORS

Justice Calkins fined Nick Tomsyck $35 and costs for selling liquor to minors. This is the third case against saloon keepers disposed of during the past week, on charges preferred by Orliff Doughty.

Tomsyck entered a plead of nolo contemlere.

Mrs. F. Nehling of Milwaukee is expected to arrive in the city tomorrow to attend the funeral of Mrs. O. Doughty.

Private Archie Doughty, who is stationed at Camp Mac Arthur, Waco, Texas, with Battery D, 120th. Field Artillery, is expected to arrive home Thursday evening to attend the funeral of his mother, Mrs. O. Doughty, who died suddenly yesterday (15 Jan 1918).  The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock from the home on Eighth avenue north. Oscar Doughty of Milwaukee will also come up to attend the funeral.

DIED FROM HEART FAILURE

Mrs. Orliif Doughty died at her home in this city on Tuesday morning shortly before noon from heart failure. She was alone in the house at the time, and 11 was not known that there was anything the matter until Mr. Doughty went home shortly before dinner, when he found her lying on the bed. Medical assistance was summoned at once, but It was found that she had apparently passed away before Mr. Doughty arrived, although the body was still warm. The announcement was necessarily a great shock to her friends and relatives in this city, as she had been in about the usual health so tar as was known.

Deceased was born in Newburg, New York, 47 years ago, and came to Grand Rapids about 27 years ago (Feb 1869). She is survived by her husband and 12 children, the latter being Mrs., Harry Overbeck of this city, Oscar Doughty of Milwaukee, Mrs. Fred Willard of Peshtigo, Mrs., George Henry of Nekoosa, Archie Doughty of Waco, Texas, and Beatrice; Athol, Esther, Glenn, Elna, Orliss, Gerald and Marion at home.

The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon. at 2:30 o'clock from the home, the services being conducted by Rev. R. J, Locke of the Congregational church.

Young Son Succumbs

Word has, been received here of the death of Robert Donald Willard, six year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Willard, Milwaukee. Mrs. Willard was formerly Miss Mable Doughty, daughter of Orliff Doughty, this city (Wisconsin Rapids).

Orliff Doughty and daughters, Marion and Esther, and Mr. and Mrs. George Henry left today for Milwaukee where they will attend the funeral.

Mrs. Mabel Willard

Mrs. Mabel Willard, 73, a former resident of Wisconsin Rapids died Oct. 7 at West Allis, where funeral services were held Friday with burial in Wanderers' Rest Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Owen, Chicago; five sisters, Mrs. Harry Oberbeck Sr., Mrs. Minard Gaulke and Mrs. George Henry, all of Wisconsin Rapids; Beatrice Doughty and Mrs. Charles Tamingo, Miami, Fla.; two brothers, Oscar and Glen Doughty, West Allis, and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Willard was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Orliff Doughty of Wisconsin Rapids.

Mrs. Kinda (Doughty) Oberbeck (1883 Jun 9 - 4 Feb 1975)

Mrs. Kinda Oberbeck, 86, died at 3 o'clock this morning at Edgewater Haven following a lingering illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Higgins & Sons Funeral Chapel, the Rev. William Lange officiating, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.

The former Kinda M. Doughty was born June 9, 1888, in the town of Sherwood, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orliff Doughty. She married Harry Oberbeck Sr. in October of 1905, here. He died Feb. 7, 1967. She lived in the Wisconsin Rapids area all her life and was a past member of American War Mothers and American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are three sons, Harry Jr. and Gerhardt, both of Wisconsin Rapids; and Robert, Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Minard Gaulke, St. Peterburg, Fla.; and Mrs. George Henry, Wisconsin Rapids; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A son and a daughter preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 p.m. Wednesday until time of services Thursday.

*Born in Chicago, Illinois, USA on 4 Mar 1883 to Ludwig Oberbeck and Marie Sophia Duvel. Harry married Kinda M. Doughty and had 5 children. He passed away on 7 Feb 1967 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, USA.
