Strohkirch, Jane E. (Marriage Oct. 12 196?)

The altar of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Withee was bedecked with bronze gladioli and gold chrysanthemums for the wedding of Miss Jane E. Strohkirch, daughter of Mr. and MRs. Clarence Strohkirch, and Otto Becker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Becker, all of Owen, Wis.

The Becker-Strohkirch wedding took place at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, the Rev. Leroy Urman officiating. Mr. Strohkirch presented his daughter in marriage during the rites of which Mrs. Herman Rabska played and Mrs. Dorothy Klabon sang "Wedding Prayer."

The bride wore a teal blue suit with beige accessories and carried a Bible topped with a white orchid surrounded by gold pompons.

Miss Carol Wagner, Eau Claire, the maid of honor, was attired in a beige suit accented with brown accessories. She carried a colonial bouquet of bronze and gold chrysanthemums. William Robersen of Milwaukee was the best man. Ushers were John Strohkirch, Owen, and James Rober?? Milwaukee.

The wedding reception and dance were held at the American Legion Hall at Owen, Wis.

The bride, who was graduated in 1961 from Owen-Withee High School, attended St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Marshfield for two years. Her husband, a 1`954 graduate of Owen High School, is a telegraph operator for the Soo Line Railroad.

Following a northern Wisconsin honeymoon, the Beckers will live in Owen, Wis.
