Beyreis, Mrs. Charles (Emilie) (22 JUN 1848 - 12 FEB 1912)

Mrs. Charles Beyreis (Emilie) died at the St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield Monday of Apoplexy. She was taken sick with paralysis on Jan. 19th and on Feb. 6th she was taken to the hospital for treatment, but it was to no avail. She was 64 years of age and leaves to mourn her death a husband, five sons, Edward of the town of Holton, Kurt of Wausau, Richard and Charles of Milan, and Fred of this village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.); and four daughters, Mrs. Frank Feldbrugge of Holton, Mrs. Phillip Conrad of Rib Lake, Mrs. Louis Hall of Marshfield, and Mrs. John Hein of Holton; all being present at the funeral. The funeral was held from the St. Peter's Lutheran Church here at two o'clock Thursday afternoon.

Mrs. Charles Beyreis was born at Uderslebrn, Germany, on June 22, 1848, immigrated to America in 1882, settled the same year on a farm in the town of Holton, and resided there until 1907, then moved to this village, where she has since made her home.
