Meyer, Aloys (1892 - 6 JUN 1898)

The sad news was brought to the city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), Tuesday morning, by Charles Meyer, who lives in the southwest corner of the town of Colby, of the death of his little six-year-old son. Monday afternoon the little fellow, with several older boys, was in the top of the barn trying to catch swallows. In attempting to swing himself around a plate, he missed his hold and fell headlong a distance of sixteen feet, striking on his head and breaking his neck. Mrs. Meyer heard the fall and hastened to the spot, but the little fellow was dead. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer have the sympathy of the whole town.

The funeral was held from St. Kilian’s Church in this city, Wednesday, Rev. Vadda officiating.
