Colby is making preparations for erecting a large high school.

Mr. and Mrs. P. Schroeder are visiting relatives at Blue Earth City, Minn.

A fine variety of Window Curtains just received at Sheldon's drug store.

Miss Hattie Colby is learning the photographic art at Jones' gallery in this village.

Mrs. Sam J. Shafer and daughter Callie, of Colby, visited with the COURIER last week.

Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Stone have been in town during the past week visiting friends and relatives.

Watchmaker R. A. Winter has a fine new window clock at this establishment for the benefit of passers by.

Chas. Leigh was down from West Superior and visited with his mother Mrs. H. C. Leroy over Sunday last.

Mrs. C. A. Vandusen of Tomahawk, visited with Mrs. C. H. Sheldon, in this village, on Friday and Saturday last.

Thorp vs Cadott, at Cadott, on Sunday next. Excursion rates have been obtained and trains will stop at all stations.

Thos. Kaneally, H. J. Fessenden and Vet Hodge were among the Sterlingites in this village on Saturday and Sunday last.

Several dogs have died during the past week by the poisoning route. Barney Rusch's and Z. Worden's Newfoundlands being among them.
