Jas. Fusee started for High Bridge, Ashland county on Monday last where he will be employed during the summer.

Simon F. Anderson, of Stanley, spent a few hours in the village on Thursday of last week. THE COURIER is indebted for a short call.

Mr. and Mrs. J. L. McCarty, of Longwood, enjoyed themselves at the opening dance at Kurtz hall in this village last Saturday evening.

Elaborate preparations are being made by the committee of arrangements towards successfully celebrating the coming 4th in this village.

The suit of Peter Schroeder vs. Nye, Lusk & Hudson has been appealed and will be again tried at the next term of circuit court in September.

Lon. Ayers, of Neillsville, who has been looking over lands north of here, came out of the woods last Saturday night in time to take in the dance and have a general good time.
