Tieman, Donald G. (8 SEP 1929 - 31 OCT 2005)

Donald G. "Pee Wee" Tieman Sr., 76, Willard, died on Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 4, at the Greenwood City Cemetery. The Rev. Mary Anne Conklin will officiate.

Donald Gerald Tieman was born on Sept. 8, 1929, in the town of Butler, to Donald and Lydia (nee Wessel) Tieman. He was raised on the family farm and educated at Butler school. After completing his schooling, he entered the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, he married Dianne Bauman on Feb. 6, 1954, at Grace United Methodist Church, Greenwood. They lived and farmed in the Greenwood area until 1972. They moved to Rock Dam in 1976. He went to work for Barr Animal Foods, driving truck, until his retirement in 1997. He continued to reside in Rock Dam until his death. He was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church and was a member of the Greenwood American Legion. He had many interests, but especially loved old cars, particularly Model Ts and Model As, and enjoyed riding his 4 wheeler around the Rock Dam area.

Survivors include five children, David Tieman, Gainsville, Fla., Donald Tieman Jr., Willard, Roxann (Glenn) Barker, Lake Geneva, Thomas (Robyn) Tieman, St. Paul, Minn., and Tracy (Dave) Coon, Gakona, Alaska; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Lila Oelhafen, Neillsville; and two brothers, Robert (Barb) Tieman, Watersmeet, Mich., and Roger (Linda) Tieman, Lake Zurich, Ill.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Dianne, on Dec. 9, 1995; one son, Larry Tieman; and one sister, Violet Hoeper.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given in his name to Hope Lodge, Marshfield.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.
