Phipps, Garnetta (15 NOV 1934)

A wedding in which many Loyal people will be interested, occurred in Waukegan, Ill., on Thursday, Nov. 15th.

The contracting parties were Garnetta Phipps, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Phipps of Loyal; and John Trampush, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Trampush of Greenwood.

The ceremony was read by Mr. Kurt Kiesow, Justice of the Peace, in Waukegan.

The bride was attired in a dress of brown crepe with accessories to correspond She has always lived in Loyal or vicinity and the groom has lived near Greenwood for some years. The couple was unattended.

From Waukegan they went to Chicago and Milwaukee where they spent several weeks.

For the present they will make their home with the bride’s parents.

Their many friends extend congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.

On Wednesday evening, December 12th, a crowd of about sixty gathered at the Geo. Phipps home and gave the bridal couple a miscellaneous shower. The evening was spent with games and dancing, a lunch was served and many nice gifts were received by Mr. and Mrs. Trampush.
