GRANTON MAN DIES; WAS 76

Granton--Joseph W. Stenitzky, 76, Granton, died at 7 a. m. Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield.

Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church here with the Rev. E. T. Keller, Pittsville, officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

The body will repose at the Gilbertson Funeral Home here from Sunday morning until time of service.

Mr. Sternitzky was born Feb. 2, 1891, in the Town of Lynn, and received his education there and at the Lutheran School in Granton. He became a carpenter in his early years and had followed this profession until the time of his death.

During his more than 50 years as a carpenter and builder, Mr. Sternitzky erected hundreds of barns, houses, sheds, milk houses, garages and some churches in the Granton, Chili, Neillsville and Marshfield areas.

His marriage to Elsie Louise Prust took place Nov. 25, 1914, in Zion Lutheran Church, town of Grant, Clark County.

Mr. Sternitzky was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Frank (Vivian) Wacker, Plymouth; Mrs. Arnold (Ermine) Noll, Granton; Mrs. Harold (Irene) Ratsch, Greenwood; Mrs. Paul (Adeline) Bieneck, Neillsville; Mrs. Gordon (Emmoline) Revling, Auburndale; and Mrs. Ervin (Ione) Brandt, Plymouth; three brothers, Leo and Raymond Sternitzky, Granton; and Gilbert Sternitzky, Plymouth; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Jens, Plymouth; Mrs. Robert Ure, Granton, and Mrs. Frieda Johnson, Chili; 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

A daughter preceded him in death.
