Schreib, Louise (6 JUN 1862 - 22 JAN 1896)

Died, at her home in the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 22nd, 1896, Mrs. Louise, wife of Albert Schreib, in the thirty-fourth year of her age.

Louise Hasleu was born at Hubbleton, Jefferson Co., Wis., June 6th, 1862; she came to Colby with her parent in 1876; Dec. 23rd, 1886, she was united in marriage with Albert Schreib, who with five children, two sons and three daughters, survive to mourn the los of a kind and affectionate wife and mother.

Mrs. Schreib was always of a rather quiet, retiring disposition, and her sole interest seemed centered in her family and her household duties. After the death of her mother the duties of housekeeper in her father’s house devolved upon her, and after her marriage with Mr. Schreib her father made his home with her excepting at such intervals when he visited other children in the southern part of the state.

Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her early death, a father, two brothers and two sisters.

The funeral, which was largely attended, was held at the St. John’s Evangelical Church Jan. 25th, Rev. Conrad C. Hartenstein officiating.
