Mohr, Mary Anna (2 Sept. 1889 - 12 May 1971)

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Anna Mohr, age 81, of R. #2 Neillsville, who died on May 12, 1971, were held Saturday, May 15, at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. D. E. Sprague of the Neillsville Assembly of God Church officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Mohr, the daughter of Herman and Amelia (Krueger) Gehrt, was born September 2, 1889 in Berlin, Germany. She came to the United States at the age of three and received her education at Silver Crest School near her home. Her marriage to Christian W. Mohr took place November 26, 1913, in Neillsville, Wis. He preceded her in death in May of 1960. They farmed in the Town of Pine Valley where their son, Ernest, presently operates the family farm.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Agnes) Hermeling of Wood River, Ill., two sons, Ernest and Albert (Luella) Mohr, both of Town of Pine Valley; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Elsie) Berger and Mrs. Charles (Emma) Marden, both of Neillsville; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Christian; her parents; a sister Martha Gehrt, and two brothers, Otto and Willie H. Gehrt.

Pallbearers were her six grandsons, Harvey, Kenneth, Marvin, Allen, David and Paul Mohr. The Rev. and Mrs. H. E. Rideout sang "Rock of Ages" and "Amazing Grace" accompanied by one of Mrs. Mohr’s granddaughters, Mrs. Dolores Novak.

Those from out of town who attended the services included: Mr. and Mrs. Leon Hermeling of Wood River, Ill.; Dolores Novak of Merrillan, Harvey Mohr, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Mohr of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Moore and family, Brookfield; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lindner and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mohr and Mr. and Mrs. George Mohr all of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lange and Mrs. L Buehner, Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Belling and Mrs. August Toll, Rosendale: Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Klatt of Alma Center; and many relatives and friends of Neillsville, Wis.
