Hi Elmira,

I posted also in the Eilert inquiry about my Schilling connection. Louis B Schilling was married to 2 of my grandmother's aunts. First was to her Aunt Mary. Mary and L.B. (Louis) had 5 kids - 3 girls (Magdelene, Dorothy, and Ruth), and 2 twin boys, Louis and Frank. Mary died of breast cancer (as did 2 of her girls) at a very young age. Her sister, Theresia (went by Tracy), married L.B. and her nieces and nephews then grew up with her.

My grandmother is Marie Kleine, and her father was Frank Kleine. Frank's sisters were Mary and Tracy Kleine who both married LB Schilling. The Schillings are very well known around Lake County, IN. L.B. founded Schilling Lumber Co, they have a street named after them, and they built subdivisions all over this area.

I'll help you in any way I can. I live in Phoenix, but I was just here for 4 days visiting my grandparents and various relatives (I am from the SW US, I did not ever live in Indiana except for college). My grandmother (age 92) and her sister (almost 95) gave me all the above info. My cousins and other relatives can help fill in some gaps as well!
