LEUKEMIA FATAL TO LOYAL GIRL, 9

Services Monday for Marcella Alaxander

Loyal - Marcella Elaine Alexander, nine year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Alexander, route 1, Owen, died Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been a patient for four weeks. A victim of leukemia, she has been ill for a month prior to hospitalization.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the North Green Grove Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Martin Krause officiating. Burial will be in the South Green Grove Lutheran Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Myre Funeral homer here beginning this evening.

Marcella, who was born April 6, 1947, was a fourth grade pupil at the Elmwood School in the town of Green Grove. She is survived b y her parents, two sisters and two brothers; Marie Ellen, Marlene Elizabeth, Dale Alvin and David Allen, all at home; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brecker, Loyal; and the parternal grandmother, Mrs. Bird Alexander, Owen, Wis.

* Marcella is buried in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery/ Green Grove.
