CLARK GIRL DIED IN CAR MISHAP

Sharon Molle, 16, Killed Near Loyal

Loyal - Clark County’s first traffic fatality of 1958 occurred shortly after 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon with a death of a 16 years old town of Beaver farm girl.

Sharon Fay Molle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Molle, route 1, Unity, and queen of the 1958 Loyal High School junior prom, was killed instantly on a town of Beaver road, about 8 miles northeast of here.

She was driving a car which went out of control after hitting a soft spot in the road. The vehicle swung around and turned on its side. Sharon was thrown from the car and crushed beneath it.

Her sister, Shirley, 14, a passenger, suffered from shock but otherwise appeared uninjured.

The girls had been to the Arnold Pieper farm and were returning to their home when the accident occurred.

Sharon was born Aug. 5, 1941, in the town of Green Grove and was educated in the Oak Grove School. She was a junior at the Loyal High School.

She is survived by her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Delbert (LaVonne) Schutte, Unity; Shirley, 14, and a brother, Roger, 17, both at home.

Robert Lulloff, Clark County coroner, ruled the death accidental and said there would be no inquest. Investigating at the scene, in addition to the coroner, were Sheriff Ray Kutsche and Officers Harry Frantz and Dale Schultz.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Theodore Predoehl in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in South Green Grove at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

The body will repose at the Myre Funeral Home here until noon Wednesday, when it will be removed to the church.
