Mills, Charlottie: (05 Dec 1887 - 26 May 1968)

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, for Mrs. Charlotte Mills, age 80, of Neillsville. Mrs. Mills died at Memorial Hospital on Sunday, May 26.

Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville will be in charge of the funeral arrangements and the church services will be held at the Christie Methodist Church. Burial will be made in the Neillsville Cemetery. The Rev. Carl Booker will officiate.

The former Charlottie Asplin was born December 5, 1887 at Augusta. August 22, 1905, she married Claude Mills at Tioga. He passed away on June 24, 1949. She was born and educated in Augusta and also in a rural school at Tioga. After her marriage they farmed until 1942. They lived in the town of York until 1949 when she went to live with her son Glen until 1961. She then went to North Carolina to be with her son the Rev. Orin Mills until November of 1957 when she returned to Neillsville and lived with her son Lee.

She is survived by four sons: Calvin, Owen; Lee, Neillsville; Glen, Loyal; and Rev. Orin, High Point, North Carolina; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Jessie) Foemmel, and Mrs. William (Lura) Genteman, both of Neillsville. A sister, Mrs. Edith Pugh, Seattle, Washington and a brother, James Asplin, Waupaca. Twenty-one grandchildren and twenty five great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, four brothers and one sister.
