Lindow, Ruth E. (21 September 1899 - 19 May 1972)

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth E. Lindow, 72, of Memorial Home, who died May 19, were held Tuesday, May 23, at 1:30 p.m. from Christ Lutheran Church in Chili. The Rev. Roland Roehrs officiated and burial was made in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery at Granton. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lindow, the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Sanger) Schlinsog, was born September 21, 1899, at Chili and was educated in rural schools there. Her marriage to Alvin Lindow took place in march of 1918 in Illinois. The Lindows farmed in the Chili area. After his death in 1930 Mrs. Lindow did practical nursing and operated the Neillsville Nursing Home in 1942. Later, she went to Milwaukee where she did the same type of work before returning to Neillsville. Mrs. Lindow, was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, was a resident of Memorial Home for the past year.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Miriam) Freeberg of Sedona, Az; two sisters, Mrs. Anita Hillert of Chili and Mrs. Raymond (Vera) Jones of Dallas, Tx; and four grandchildren.
