Mrs. Augusta DeForth, 82, Stanley died at her home June 29.  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Plombon Funeral Home at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Roy F. Scott officiating.  Burial was made in the Reedsburg cemetery, Thorp.

Mrs. DeForth was born June 3, 1883, at Brillion, the daughter of Jacob and Caroline Becker.  She was raised at Brillion and married there June 1, 1903, to Phillip DeForth.

After their marriage they moved to the Thorp area and farmed south of Thorp until retirement when they moved to Stanley.

Mr. DeForth preceded his wife in death in 1957.

She is survived by two sons, Roman of Stanley and Myron of Owen, and one grand child.  She leaves two brothers, Henry Becker of Brillion and August Becker of Appleton and one step-sister, Bertha Beal of Sheboygan.

Besides her husband, a daughter preceded her in death, as did her parents and two step-brothers.
