Mrs. George Haeuser spent Saturday with relatives at Medford.

Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Gullord spent Sunday with relatives at Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Borham spent Saturday at the Walter Needham home at Stanley.

Mrs. O.C. Behrens will entertain the members of the Schafskopf Club at her home this evening.

Miss Avis McIntyre arrived home today from Madison to spend the holidays.

Dr. and Mrs. F.A. Boeckman and daughter Kathryn of Marshfield called on friends here Sunday.

Miss Mildred Schiller of Neillsville spent Saturday with her brother, T.F. Schiller and family.

Mrs. H.M. Pratt left Sunday for a week's visit with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Tyrell at Jim Falls.

Miss Mercedes Meinholdt, who is attending Eau Claire Normal is spending the Xmas vacation with her mother, Mrs. Gus Meinholdt.

Dr. R.E. McIntyre returned home from Eau Claire Saturday, where he has been for the past three weeks with an injured hand. He is improving nicely.

Mr. and Mrs. Durward McVey entertained Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stewart of Withee at dinner Saturday evening.

Miss Ambrosia Noetzel of Memphis, Tenn. Arrived home Sunday to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Noetzel.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Forbes and daughter of Muskegon, Mich., and Clarence Indgjer of Strum visited at the Ellingson home last week.

T.F. Schiller was a Marshfield caller Tuesday.

Gover Noetzel of Madison arrived home Wednesday for the holidays.

Dr. and Mrs. W.T. Austin were visitors at Eau Claire Friday.

Henry Franz entered sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire Friday for treatment.

The Misses Alice, Dorothy and Mildred Plank and Joyce Haeuser were Marshfield visitors Saturday.

Norbert Jolivette, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jolivette, entertained a number of his boy friends at a birthday party at his home Tuesday evening. Games were played and a delicious lunch was served.

Miss Ruth Noetzel will arrived from Nashville, Ten. Friday to spend Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Noetzel.

Fred Huntzicker is at Plymouth this week on business.

Bill Wright arrived here from St. Paul Tuesday to visit his aunt, Miss Ann Kirkwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Laabs and two children of Stanley spent Sunday at the Wm. Laabs home.

The stores are open every night this week so the public can finish their Christmas shipping.

Mr. and Mrs. George Hoehne are giving a free wedding dance at the North Side Hall tonight, Thursday.

Una Carteron left for Milwaukee Tuesday for an extended visit with friends.

Mrs. Paul Borham and son Kenneth and Miss Eleanor Kreig were Marshfield visitors Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Neuenfeldt, Mrs. George Haeuser and Irene O'Connell were Marshfield visitors Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sorenson and Harold Haven of Abbotsford were visitors at the Geo. Haeuser home yesterday.

Mrs. B. Christman, 84, for 40 years a resident of Loyal, died at her home there early Saturday morning. Mr. Christman died six years ago. Funeral services were held yesterday.

Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Muenchow entertained the teachers of the local public school at their home Tuesday evening.

J.H. Fradette and family are moving to Neillsville this week, where they will live for the next two years while Mr. Fradette is our county treasurer.

Sylvester Hinker and Barbara Pink of Bloomington spent from Friday until Sunday with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hinker. Madeline Pink, who teaches at Loyal, returned home with them for her Christmas vacation.

The Misses Eva Mathison and Una Carteron entertained at a shower and depression party at the Mathison home last Friday evening. Bridge was played and prizes awarded to Mrs. J.R. Thomas and Margaret Andrews. A delicious lunch was served. Miss Andrews received some lovely gifts.

Adolph Schwarze returned home last week from Milwaukee where he attended the convention of the Wis. Implement Dealers Association. Mr. Schwarze was selected vice president of the association.

The Pioneer Sewing Circle met at the home of Mrs. Opdycke. All members were not present, but had they known what was before them, they would have made an effort to have been there. This being a Christmas party, the hostess had the table prettily decorated with Santa and his pack in red for the center piece. At each place was a red cord attached to some article in Santa's pack, which, when pulled would present our gift. These packages were opened at the table and a good laugh was enjoyed. We will all remember this occasion, especially Mrs. Pickruhn and Mrs. Stabnow, as they sit quietly resting after a hard day's work, the one with her all day suckers and the other with her chewing gum. Mrs. Speich and Mrs. Will Volk will also remember this as they meet together some afternoon and wirte an aricle about the circle with their pencils and memorandum pad. A very nice supper was served, many of the eats being Christmas dainties, which were enjoyed in a Merry Christmas Spirit.
