Aebersold, Fred (May 1883 - 19 Feb 1919)

Fred Aebersold was born in Switzerland May 19, 1883. In 1903 he came to this country, and a greater part of the time he lived at Argyle, Green County, Wis., where he followed his trade as cheesemaker. On the 8th of February he undertook a trip south and west with intentions of visiting relatives in Kansas and Colorado. While visiting with his cousin, Gottfried Notz, at Burns, Kan., he contracted the influenza, which soon developed into pneumonia. He died Feb 19th, aged 35 years and 9 months.

The deceased was a half brother of Jacob Trachsel, who had the remains brought to Humbird, Clark County, Wis., the funeral services being held Tuesday afternoon in the Reformed Church. Burial was in the Mentor Cemetery.

His sudden death will be mourned especially by his father, one sister and one brother, living in Switzerland; also by another brother with the American Army of occupation in Germany, and by another sister, Mrs. Adolph Risser, who, with her husband, came from Green Co. to attend the funeral.
