Fradenburg, Maggie T. (2 Jul 1881 - 10 May 1914)

Maggie Thirza McKimm was born near Christie, Clark County, Wis., July 2, 1881, and died at the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, Saturday, May 10, 1914, aged 32 years, 10 months and 14 days. She came to Humbird with her parents in 1886, where she has since resided. On June 17, 1808, she was united in marriage to Willis A. Fradenburg of this village (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.). She leaves to mourn her death her husband, mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Silas Delano, and four sisters, Mrs. Mina Cole, Mrs. Myrta Noyes of Humbird; Mrs. Mabel Hart of Granton, and Mrs. Maud Bollom of Osseo, besides a large number of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Fradenburg's sickness was of several months' duration, during all of which she was so patient a sufferer that none realized the seriousness of the disease. On April 15th she made the first trip to the hospital for treatment, going there at different times afterwards. On Wednesday of last week her condition became worse and she returned to the Luther Hospital at Eau Claire, where on Saturday an operation was performed, from which she never rallied.

The remains were brought here from Eau Claire Saturday evening, and taken to the home of her mother. Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon and at 2:00 o'clock at the M. E. Church, conducted by Rev. F. M. Prucia, who paid a tribute to her memory. The flowers were many and beautiful. A large congregation gathered at the church to offer their sympathies to the sorrowing ones. The Royal Neighbors acted as an escort from the home to the church, and from the church to the cemetery.

Here, in this village, she played as a child, developed into womanhood; here she married and helped to establish a home of her own; here her busy life was spent, her service rendered t the world. In this dearest of all places to her, she lies down at length to sleep. Beautifully appropriate such a resting place, where many of her life-long friends remain to gather with honest tears of bereavement, to lay her away tenderly in the narrow house with its curtains of fadeless green.

To her the struggle and burden bearing are ended. On earth there is left a mourning circle of relatives and friends, whose grief is lessened by the faith in her safe arrival home, and whose loving remembrance will keep her memory hallowed.

Relatives and friends from away present at the funeral were Jos. McKimm and wife, Ed Bagley and daughter, Mrs. Geo. Bagley, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Snyder and Mrs. Guy Snyder of Neillsville; Mrs. Henry Johnson and little daughter of Tagus, N. D.; W. W. Cole and Mrs. H. J Edwards of Alma Center.
