Mrs. Mary Wierenzenski, 77, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Al Tucker, in Milwaukee, March 9. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. at the York Center Methodist Church, March 12. The Rev. Myron E. Taylor officiated. Interment was made in the York Center Cemetery. Mary Malitzka was born January 31, 1872, in Germany. She was married to Nicholus Wierenzenski on October 29, 1863, and a year later they came to America and settled on a farm in Rosendale. In 1901, they moved onto a farm north of Granton in the Town of York. Her husband preceded her death on June 11, 1937. Surviving are six children: Paul, Max and John of Marshfield; Frank, Abbotsford; Mrs. Al (Bernice) Tucker; and Mrs. Paul (Frieda) Frishman, Granton. Four sisters living in Markesan, seven grandchildren and one great- grand child also survive.
