TRANSCRIBED TEXT:

The death angel entered our midst again last week and removed Lewis C. Graves from our midst. Deceased was born in Otisco, Onondago Co., N.Y. on Sept. 24, 1822 and departed this life on March 22, 1910 at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 28 days. On Oct. 27, 1847 he was married to Miss Adelphia Baker of Marcellus, N.Y., who preceded him in death about 13 years ago. In May 1899 he came to Brothertown, Wis., to make his home with son Hubert G. with whom he lived until his death. In 1901 he came to Clark county and during the last few years of his life he was afflicted with blindness, which he bore cheerfully. During his residence in New York State he served his county as its sheriff for several years, and also followed the occupation as farmer. He leaves to mourn for him two sons, Willis B. of Beloit, Ohio and Hubert G. of this place. The funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon in the M.E. church, Rev. Kildow officiating, burial taking place in the York Center cemetery. At the time of his death his son was on a visit in Calumet county. Sympathy is extended to those bereft. H. G. Graves and family wish to thank all their friends and neighbors for their kindly assistance and sympathy.
